Situation on the front: 153 combat engagements recorded, the fiercest battles on the Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivka directions

Over the past day, on April 18, 2026, 153 combat engagements were recorded on the front.

This was reported by the press center of the General Staff.

Shelling

Yesterday, the occupiers carried out 68 airstrikes, dropping 216 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 9360 kamikaze drones and conducted 3404 shelling attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops, 60 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes on the areas of the populated localities of Velykomykhailivka, Kolomiitsy, Andriivka, Fedorivka, Vovche in Dnipropetrovsk region; Vozdvyzhivka, Nyzhenka, Zirnytsia, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, Lyubitske, Kopani, Lisne, Trudove, Shevchenkivske, Novoukrainka, Mykilske, Yurivka, Zarichne, Balabine in Zaporizhzhya region.

Strikes on the enemy

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defence Forces struck nine areas of concentration of enemy manpower and equipment.

The General Staff reports that the total losses of Russian invaders over the past day reached 1070 personnel. Our warriors also neutralized six tanks, 10 armored combat vehicles, 82 artillery systems, five multiple launch rocket systems, 2019 operational-tactical level UAVs, 203 units of automotive equipment, and two units of special equipment.

Situation in the north

In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy yesterday carried out one airstrike with the dropping of one guided aerial bomb, conducted 84 shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, two of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. Two assault actions by the enemy were recorded.

Situation in Kharkiv region

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy three times tried to break through the defense of our defenders near Starytsia and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor attacked four times in the direction of Novoplatonivka and near Petropavlivka and Pishchane.

Situation in the east

According to the General Staff, in the Lyman direction, the enemy seven times tried to break through our defense near Drobysheve, Lyman, Stavka, and Novoserhiivka.

In the Sloviansk direction, our defenders repelled three attacks by occupiers near Yampil and in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of the Defense Forces four times near Nykyforivka, Mynkivka, and in the direction of Mykolaivka.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy conducted 19 attacks near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, and Stepnivka.

"In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders repelled 28 assaults by the aggressor near Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Shevchenko, Bilotske, Novopavlivka, and Novopidhirne," the message states.

Situation in the south

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked seven times in the direction of Kalynivske, Verbove, and Oleksandropil.

In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers stormed the positions 12 times near Sviatopetrivka, Staraukrainka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Pryluky, and Tsvitkovе.

In the Orikhiv direction, no active enemy actions were recorded.

In the Dniprovskyi direction, the enemy three times unsuccessfully stormed in the direction of the Antonivka Bridge.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of offensive enemy groups were detected.

Ukrainian defenders continue to effectively hold back the enemy on all fronts.
