Pistols for civilians: Minister of Internal Affairs Klymenko announced a law on the right to armed self-defence

After yesterday’s shooting in Kyiv, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Klymenko stated that citizens should acquire the «right to armed self-defence».

According to the minister, this concerns permission to carry short-barreled firearms (pistols).

«Soon we will organize expert discussions with the participation of people’s deputies, public representatives, journalists, and the veteran community to prepare the final version of the bill on civilian weapons», — Klymenko stated.
