Trump threatened Iran with "destruction" in case of refusal of a new deal
Trump threatens Iran with «destruction» if it does not agree to compromises regarding the peace deal.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are heading to Islamabad to resume negotiations.
«If they (Iranians - Ed.) do not sign the agreement, we will destroy the entire country, power plants and bridges will become legitimate targets», - Trump stated.
Later, he repeated this threat in his social media post.
«We are offering a very fair and reasonable deal, and I hope they accept it, because if not, the United States will take out every power plant and every bridge in Iran. No more «Mr. Nice Guy»! They will quickly make concessions, they will easily make concessions, and if they do not accept the deal, it will be an honor for me to do what needs to be done, what should have been done to Iran by other presidents over the last 47 years», - Trump stated.
Additionally, he reproached Iran for failing to comply with agreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
«Iran decided yesterday to open fire in the Strait of Hormuz - this is a complete violation of our ceasefire agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French vessel and a British cargo ship. That was not very good, was it?», - Trump wrote.
