Frontline situation: 166 combat clashes occurred over the past day, the most intense — on the Pokrovsk axis

Today, April 19, as of 22:00, there have been 166 combat engagements. The largest number of battles took place on the Pokrovsk direction. 

This is stated in the General Staff’s report.

Defence forces continue to stop the enemy, destroy personnel, and deplete the occupiers’ combat potential by inflicting systematic fire damage.

The enemy carried out 43 airstrikes and dropped 146 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it employed 4,887 kamikaze drones for strikes and conducted 2,237 shellings of populated areas and our troops’ positions.

On the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 76 shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas, including six using multiple launch rocket systems.

On the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy stormed our units’ positions ten times in the areas of the settlements of Synelnykove, Prylipka, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vilcha, and toward Bochкове. One combat engagement is ongoing.

On the Kupyansk direction, our defenders successfully repelled four enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kurylivka, Kolisnykivka, Kivsharivka, and Radkivka. Three more combat engagements are ongoing.

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three attempts by the invaders to advance toward the settlements of Tverdokhlibove, Drobysheve, Lyman, Shyikivka, and Hrekivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

On the Slovyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled one occupier assault in the area of Rai-Oleksandrivka.

On the Kramatorsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions once near the settlement of Holubivka.

Defence forces successfully repelled 16 enemy assaults on the Kostiantynivka direction near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchivka, Stepanivka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultynе, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.

On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy conducted 35 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Dorozhne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Zatyshok, Udachne, Muravka, Novopiddorodne, Molodetske, Novopavlivka, Filia toward Novooleksandrivka, and Shevchenko. Two combat engagements are ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, today on this direction, 123 occupiers were eliminated and 46 wounded; eight units of automotive and three units of special enemy equipment were destroyed, one gun and seven units of automotive equipment were damaged. 126 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

On the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers twice attempted to improve their position, attacking in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrohrad and Sichneve. Airstrikes hit the outskirts of the settlements of Ivanivka and Havrylівka.

On the Huliaipole direction, Defence forces successfully stopped 27 occupier attacks in the areas of the settlements of Varvarivka, Dobropillya, Zelenе, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkovе, Zaliznychne, Pryluky, Olenokostiantynivka, and toward the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipole, and Hірkе. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Vozdvyzhenska, Huliaipole, Liubitske, and Mykilske.

On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to advance in the area of the settlement of Pavlivka. In addition, the enemy conducted airstrikes on the areas of the settlements of Vylniansk and Kushuhum.

On the Dniprovskyi direction, our defenders successfully stopped three attacks toward the Antonivskyi Bridge and near the Bilohrudyi Island. The settlements of Bilozerka, Chornobaivka, and Rozliv suffered airstrikes with guided bombs.

On other directions, there have been no significant changes in the situation.
