Police leadership updated after events in Kyiv: demotions, dismissals, and internal investigations
Oleksandr Fatsevych on personnel decisions in the police after the terrorist attacks in Kyiv: two police officers were dismissed.
Also, the head of the patrol police department, Yaroslav Kurbakov, was demoted — despite his awards, he allowed shortcomings. In addition, the regiment commander, battalion commander, and acting company commander submitted resignation reports.
The company commander is currently in the east, but they plan to bring him back — he has combat experience that can be utilized, and his further promotion is not ruled out.
Also, the then chief, Yevhen Zhukov, submitted a resignation statement at his own request.
Perhaps society expected tougher decisions, but based on the results of the internal investigation, exactly these personnel changes were approved.
