The Zlochevskyi family with Cypriot passports continues to rob Ukraine and open new businesses

Remember the lavish wedding of the daughter of the former Minister of Ecology Mykola Zlochevskyi, Anna, with the grandson of a surgeon from the DPR Fistal in a castle on Lake Como? It turns out that the families have joint business in Great Britain. Zlochevskyi himself, judging by current court documents, has been living in Cyprus at least since 2019, where he manages the «Rivabella real estate» firm. Another daughter of Zlochevskyi, Karina, and her two children have Cypriot passports. Unlike her husband, who is still registered in Kyiv and manages the family’s energy business, which is actively profiting from selling electricity at inflated prices.

From a court document dated August 2024, it became known that the family of Olexiy Leonov, the native brother of Mykola Zlochevsky’s wife, deprived the ex-minister’s daughters of the right to use a shared apartment in Kyiv. The reason was that the women have not lived in Ukraine for over five years. This same court document revealed several interesting details – Anna and Karina Zlochevskyi have been citizens of Cyprus since 2019. They live there, pay utility bills, and have legal employment. Karina Zlochevska’s two children are also citizens of this country and attend educational institutions there.

According to Cypriot registers, Anna and Karina Zlochevska have been listed in five different firms since 2019-2020. In particular, Karina got one of the main Zlochevskyi offshore companies, Diloretio Holdings LTD. This company is the beneficiary of most of the former minister’s oil and gas assets in Ukraine.

For example, it owns LLC «ESKO-Pivnich». The LLC is actively exploring gas fields in Ukraine and has over 30 different licenses, some of which are indefinite. And this is despite the fact that when Zlochevskyi headed the Ministry of Ecology, he was repeatedly suspected of abuse of influence and corruption in obtaining licenses for subsoil development for his own companies.

«ESKO-Pivnich» is still having problems with the law. For instance, from a 2023 court decision, it became known that from 2017 to 2022, the company purchased new gas extraction equipment in Malta and the UAE, but when importing it into Ukraine, it declared it as scrap. This was done to minimize tax burdens, as a result of which the state systematically failed to receive funds into the budget.

Moreover, other Zlochevskyi firms – «Kub-Gaz», «Company «Technokomservice» and «Oil and Gas Industrial Geology» – were engaged in the same practices.

Interestingly, despite the fact that the Ukrainian judiciary confirmed that Zlochevskyi’s daughters have not lived in Ukraine since 2019, it was during this period that the former minister transferred all Ukrainian business to them, including the mentioned «ESKO-Pivnich». Over the past years, several luxury cars have been purchased for this enterprise. Including a 2016 Bentley. For 2025-2026, new Toyota Sequoia, Toyota Highlander, and GMC Hummer were also bought for the firm. It’s unlikely that gas extraction company personnel will drive such cars. Rather, these new and quite expensive vehicles were bought for the real owners who live in Europe.

According to a 2024 court document, Karina and Anna Zlochevska have not entered Ukraine since February 2022 and November 2023, respectively. However, they continue to manage the highly profitable oil and gas business in our country. Moreover, despite the fact that their father was caught on the largest bribe in Ukraine’s history, amounting to 6 million dollars, Zlochevskyi’s firms continue to actively win state tenders and pull budget money into their own pockets.

For example, just one company, LLC «Geounit», registered to the Cypriot Zlochevskyis, won state tenders worth 46 million hryvnias for 2025 and 2026.

Returning to the court decision by which relatives deprived Karina and Anna Zlochevska of the right to use the Kyiv apartment, it is worth noting that Zlochevskyi’s son-in-law Olexiy Leonov was very actively involved in the family business. In particular, he was the director of LLC «Infox», which effectively privatized the Odesa water utility. «Antikor» wrote about this in 2024. Leonov was Zlochevskyi’s assistant in the Verkhovna Rada from 2002 to 2006, and later his business partner and ex-MP Mykola Lysin’s. Lysin’s brother Viktor still «appears» in some of Zlochevskyi’s firms to this day.

Cypriot registers also revealed that Anna Zlochevska and Kateryna Fistal are co-founders of MNKY Group LTD. This firm quite loudly launched its own cosmetic brand SYNC Beauty in 2025.

Fistal is a relative of Zlochevska’s husband Anton Fistal. The same one with whom they recently had a lavish wedding in an Italian castle on the shores of Lake Como. According to the official website, this brand’s cosmetics are sold in luxury stores in Great Britain. The British press even published several similar articles about the launch of the brand by Zlochevska and Fistal. Obviously, the money for launching their own cosmetics line was taken, among other things, from earnings in Ukraine, which the Zlochevskyis continue to rob despite physically being abroad.

Karina Zlochevska’s husband Andriy Kuchkov, despite the entire family having Cypriot passports, remains registered in Kyiv and manages several energy companies in Ukraine at once. The main one is LLC «Ukrazresurs». The firm is a regular figure in court cases regarding the supply of electricity to state enterprises at inflated prices. So, for example, it «ripped off» the operational part of the Ministry of Defence in Zhytomyr region by as much as 700 000 hryvnias. The reason is inflated prices twice as high for electricity supply.

And the Kremenchuk hospital overpaid the firm of Zlochevsky’s son-in-law by 340 000 hryvnias. A current court decision for 2026 explains that Kuchkov’s company first signed a contract for electricity supply at one price, but later another contract was signed with a much higher supply cost. As a result, the communal enterprise overpaid him hundreds of thousands.

The ex-minister Mykola Zlochevskyi himself has exited all Ukrainian firms, transferring them to his daughters. However, he owns the Cypriot firm Rivabella Real Estate LTD, which deals in real estate. The company was registered in 2017, when, according to media reports, Zlochevskyi had already been abroad for a long time.

In Ukraine, his family is also actively involved in real estate. So, over the past years, firms associated with him have become owners of the building of the bankrupt bank «Arkada» right in the center of Kyiv. They also bought the building of the former office of the odious «regional» brothers Klyuyevs near the General Prosecutor’s Office. Recently, a company close to the Zlochevskyis also bought an unfinished building near the central registry office in Kyiv. And a few years ago, according to court documents, they managed to privatize two buildings in Poltava in a semi-legal way. One belonged to the state company «Nadra of Ukraine», the second – to the company «Poltavanaftogazgeology». Court cases dragged on for both.

Despite high-profile criminal cases, despite suspicions of abuse of influence, despite the dubious history of Zlochevskyi’s Burisma company, in which Hunter Biden, son of the former US President, also worked, the former minister, as of now, has completely bought himself out of «dark» affairs. However, his daughters and sons-in-law continue to profit from Ukraine, who don’t even live in our country and splash money in Dubai, Europe, and other safer places. The reason for impunity, on one hand, is big money, and on the other – the toothlessness of Ukrainian justice. After all, the former head of the SAPO Nazar Kholodnytskyi once said: «Zlochevskyi’s case fell apart due to insufficient evidence. I can’t go to court just with likes on Facebook». This phrase is the best verdict on the system.
