Electricity tariffs will not change: the government has extended the validity of the current electricity price until the end of October
In Ukraine, the "old" electricity tariff, which expired on April 30, has been extended. Accordingly, from May 1, electricity will be supplied, as before, at 4.32 UAH per 1 kWh. Thus, the rate increase did not occur.
About this, reported Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko.
She noted: the tariff has been extended for half a year – until October 31.
At the same time, the head of the government emphasized: for certain users, a preferential tariff will apply. Under it, during the heating season – from October 1 to April 30:
- They will pay 2.64 UAH per 1 kWh – but only when consuming up to 2,000 kWh per month.
- If this limit is exceeded, the full tariff must be paid – 4.32 UAH per 1 kWh.
Only households for which electricity is the main source of heat will be able to use the preferential tariff. That is:
- houses and apartments with electric heating;
- multi-apartment buildings not connected to gas supply or centralized/autonomous heating systems.

In Ukraine, utility tariffs have been significantly revised
At the same time, over the year – from February 2025 to February 2026 – tariffs increased overall by 1.7%. Specifically:
- multi-apartment house management services rose by 4.3%;
- the cost of garbage collection increased by the same amount;
- housing maintenance and repair became 4% more expensive.
At the same time, the cost of a number of services remained at the previous level. These include:
- Electricity.
- Natural gas.
- Hot water, heating.
- Water supply.
- Sewerage.
