Successful assault in Kharkiv region: fighters of the "R.U.G." regiment broke through the defense line and cleared the enemy’s strongpoint

Warriors of the 23rd Assault Regiment «R.U.G.» carried out a successful operation in the Kharkiv region, breaking through the enemy’s line of defense. During the battles, Ukrainian defenders completely cleared the enemy’s forward edge up to his company strongpoint.

This is reported on the  Facebook page of the 23rd Assault Regiment «R.U.G.» of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine «Charter».

Breakthrough on the Vovchansk direction

According to the military, the operation took place in April-May 2026. The assault groups of the «R.U.G.» regiment managed to penetrate through the line of contact on one of the most difficult sections of the front.

The main task was to dislodge the occupiers from the fortifications and expand the controlled territory. Thanks to professional actions, the section was completely cleared in depth to the enemy’s company strongpoint.

The unit emphasizes that the success was ensured by the coordinated work of all groups.

«The 23rd Assault Regiment «R.U.G.» continues to carry out combat missions on the most difficult sections of the front, demonstrating high efficiency of assault operations and cohesion of units», — the military noted.

Resilience of volunteers

In the battles for Vovchansk, not only Ukrainian warriors are participating, but also foreign volunteers who joined the National Guard of Ukraine.
