Situation on the front: 189 combat clashes recorded, the enemy attacked the most on the Pokrovsk direction

From the beginning of Tuesday, May 19, 189 combat engagements were recorded on the front.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00.

Enemy shelling

The Defence Forces continue to hold back the enemy, striking at the manpower and equipment of the occupiers and systematically reducing their combat potential.

The enemy launched one missile strike, carried out 62 air strikes, and dropped 170 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 5,662 kamikaze drones were used to hit targets, and 2,241 shellings of populated areas and positions of Ukrainian troops were conducted.

Situation on the front directions

On the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, two combat engagements occurred since the beginning of the day. The enemy carried out 81 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, two of which involved multiple launch rocket systems.

On the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attempted to storm the positions of Ukrainian units six times near Izbytske, Hranove, Lyman, Radkivka, Vilcha, and Starytsia.

On the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Kucheryivka.

On the Lyman direction, the Defence Forces repelled eight enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Drobysheve, Ozernyi, and Dibrova.

On the Slovyansk direction, Ukrainian warriors successfully repelled three enemy attempts to advance near Riznykivka and Kryva Luka.

On the Kramatorsk and Orikhiv directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations today.

On the Kostiantynivka direction, the Defence Forces repelled eleven enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Dovha Balka.

On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 40 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of Dorozhnie, Rodynske, Oleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Molodetske, as well as toward Kucheryi Yar, Vilne, Serhiivka, and Hruzke. Two engagements are ongoing.

According to preliminary data, 63 occupiers were eliminated and 12 wounded on this direction today. Six units of the enemy’s special equipment, two UAV control points, three units of automotive equipment, two artillery pieces, and two drone control points were destroyed. Additionally, 197 enemy UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

On the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers twice attempted to improve their tactical position, attacking near Oleksandrohrad and Berezove.

On the Huliaipole direction, 16 enemy attacks were recorded near Rivnopillya, Radisne, Rybne, Dobropillya, Olenokostiantynivka, Novozaporizhzhia, Staroukraiinka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.

On the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two assault attempts toward the Antonivka Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island. No significant changes in the situation were reported on the remaining directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
