Declared what she doesn’t have in possession: What awaits the seized millions of former head of Khmelnytskyi MSEC Krupa

Former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Expert Commission Tetyana Krupa, in her declarations for 2024 and 2025 submitted already in 2026, indicated property and funds belonging to her and her husband. Next to some of these assets, it is noted that they were seized by law enforcement agencies.

Suspilne asked Khmelnytskyi lawyer Nataliya Svirnevska to comment on the situation so that she could explain what might happen to these funds and property.

«As a former official, she was required to submit a declaration. In it, she reflects both money and property, but notes that she actually does not have them because they were seized by law enforcement».

According to the latest amended declaration for 2025, which Tetyana Krupa submitted on April 21, 2026, law enforcement seized from her a Rolex watch (value at the time of purchase on June 1, 2024 — 405 thousand hryvnias) and Dior earrings made of precious metal with gemstones (value as of January 1, 2024 — 700 thousand 738 hryvnias). In addition, the declaration indicates that 93 thousand dollars and 2 thousand euros belonging to Krupa herself were seized, as well as 3 million 733 thousand 200 dollars, 135 thousand 290 euros, and 1 million 197 thousand hryvnias belonging to her husband Volodymyr Krupa. Similar information about the seized property and funds is also contained in the declaration for 2024.

Nataliya Svirnevska explained that if the criminal proceedings against Tetyana Krupa are closed due to the absence of a crime (i.e., on rehabilitative grounds), she must have everything seized returned to her.

«If Krupa is found guilty, the fate of the seized money and property will be decided by the court when issuing the verdict. Some items may be returned to the convicted person, and some — confiscated in favor of the state».
