SAPO through the court demands to confiscate the luxury cottage of the deputy head of the Lviv region tax service
The SAPO prosecutor has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court seeking the confiscation to the state revenue of a house and land plot belonging to the deputy head of the Lviv tax service department.
This is reported by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention.
The matter concerns:
- a manor-type residential house with an area of 136.1 sq. m;
- a land plot with an area of 535 sq. m in the Lviv region, where the mentioned house is located.
During the full verification of the tax official’s 2023 declaration, the NACP, together with the SBI, established that in 2022 she purchased this land plot in a cottage settlement in the Lviv region, allegedly without any buildings. In reality, an unfinished construction project — a cottage valued at approximately 6.7 million UAH — was already located on the plot and had not been declared. The official and her husband lack legal sources of income to acquire this property. The difference between the asset’s value and confirmed income exceeds 4.4 million UAH, indicating signs that the origin of the property is unjustified.
Based on materials from the NACP and the SBI, as well as evidence collected independently, the SAP prosecutor filed a lawsuit to have the specified assets recognized as unjustified and recovered to the state revenue.
