In the event of an attempt to break through the front in Ukraine, Russia could theoretically resort to the use of tactical nuclear weapons, said MP Kostenko.

According to him, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi takes this scenario into account when planning the defense.

At the same time, the Russian Federation has revised its approaches to its nuclear doctrine and continues to demonstrate new missile systems capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
