Zelenskyy awarded an order to the American journalist Zarina Zabrisky, who covers events in Kherson

American journalist and war correspondent for the publications “Byline Times” and “Euromaidan Press” Zarina Zabrisky has been awarded the Order of Merit, third degree.

The decree on the award was signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zarina Zabrisky was awarded for her significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian journalism and the media sphere, as well as for her high professionalism and dedication during the coverage of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The award was presented on the occasion of Journalists’ Day.

It should be noted that Zarina Zabrisky has been living in Kherson since 2023. She created the documentary film “Kherson: Human Safari”, which shows the tragic chronicle of the war in the city – from occupation and resistance to liberation, environmental disaster, and the new phase of drone attacks.

The premiere of the film took place in June of this year.
