"We’re scared even through the screen": Everyday video of a Zaporizhzhya resident to the sounds of explosions gains hundreds of thousands of views

A resident of Zaporizhzhya, Kateryna, posted a video online in which she and her relatives are laying a path near the house. In the background, the sounds of drones and shots are clearly audible. During the work, the family hides under the canopy several times but then returns to the task again.

Users in the comments admit that “it became scary even through the screen” and call Kateryna and her relatives “fearless people.” Many note that they are tired of constant air-raid alerts and shelling: “Honestly, I burst into tears — people are already exhausted, no strength left to run and hide… They live under shelling, what a horror. Hold on!” Others write that “all this has so worn out ordinary people that they just gave up and try to live according to their usual routine.”

Residents of other Ukrainian cities that are also under fire respond under the post: “Kharkiv, the same thing for more than four years now. Here you can’t even hear rockets and bombs, and the Shaheds are ordinary ones, not jet-powered.” The video gained over 200 thousand views in a day. Kateryna herself admitted she had not expected such a reaction and posted the clip “for the family archive” — “in 50 years we’ll show our grandchildren how we laid this path.”
