Baptist pastor Pleshyvtsev, guilty of the deaths of four people in Kyiv, told the court that he lost consciousness at the wheel.
However, according to media reports, he was moonlighting as a taxi driver and at the time of the crash was driving a passenger in a “Mercedes.” Sources say he decided to show off by speeding.
The passenger survived but was injured and hospitalized. The same happened to the driver, who was remanded in custody by the court.
