Situation on the front: 55 combat clashes recorded, the most on the Lyman and Pokrovsk directions

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 55 times.

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation at the front as of 16:00 on June 18.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today in Sumy region, the settlements of Neskuchne, Rohizne, Korenok, Sopich, Yastrubshchyna, Ulanove, Tovstodubove, Ryzhivka, Volfyne, Brusky and Sumy were affected.

Situation in the north

On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, since the beginning of the day, the invaders attacked the positions of our troops once, carried out 47 shellings, including six with multiple launch rocket systems.

Situation in Kharkiv region

On the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the invaders twice tried to break through the defense in the Lyman area and toward Izbitske. One battle is ongoing.

On the Kuyiansk direction, our defenders repelled two attempts by the enemy to advance toward Radkivka and Kolisnykivka.

Fighting in the east

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attempts by the invaders to advance toward Shyikivka, Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, as well as in the areas of Novoselivka, Derylove, Zarichne and Yampil. Four clashes are ongoing.

On the Sloviansk direction, the Defence Forces stopped five attempts by the enemy to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kryva Luka, Zakitne and Kalenyky. One clash is still ongoing.

On the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders carried out one attack toward Malynivka.

On the Kostyantynivka direction, our defenders repelled nine attacks near Pleshchiivka, Kostiantynivka and Illinivka. One battle is ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers tried 11 times to push our troops from their positions in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Filipiia, as well as toward Bilytske, Dorozhne, Shevchenko and Serhiivka. One battle is ongoing.

On the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked once toward Oleksandrohrad.

Combat actions in the south

On the Huliaipole direction, the Defence Forces successfully repelled nine enemy attacks toward Dobropillia, Huliaipilske and Hirke. Two clashes are ongoing.

On the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped three attempts by the enemy to advance in the Stepnohirsk area.

According to the General Staff, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions on the Prydniprovskyi direction.

No significant changes were recorded in other directions. No attempts by the enemy to advance were noted.
