NABU and SAPO have notified MP Mykola Tyshchenko of suspicion of extorting one million dollars and money laundering

NABU and SAPO have announced suspicion against incumbent Member of Parliament Mykola Tyshchenko — he is accused of demanding an improper benefit, money laundering, and entering false data into his declaration.

In August 2023, the MP, allegedly fighting against “call centers,” approached a person he believed to be involved in such activities and demanded more than 1 million US dollars. In return, he promised to use his powers to “close” some centers and leave others untouched. However, the deputy never received the money.

In addition, according to the investigation, Tyshchenko laundered 12.6 million hryvnias of dubious origin through a fictitious donation agreement with his ex-wife. It was established that she had no legal income to make such a gift, and no actual transfer of funds took place.

Later, the deputy declared these funds in his annual declaration, knowingly providing false information.
