In Sumy, a well-known doctor accused the police and the TRC of assault. Law enforcement claims that he attacked them himself.

Head of the dental department of the regional clinical hospital Anatoliy Cherednichenko was detained near the entrance. He was immediately grabbed by the shirt; he asked to be released and allowed to finish his phone call.

The video shows the doctor trying to push away the policeman’s hand. He is then harshly restrained. He then grabs the policeman’s camera.

Photos of him with a bloodied head have been published: the moment he received the injury is not shown in the video.

The police have opened a criminal investigation.

Later, Cherednichenko stated that he has a reservation (deferment), but did not have the documents with him at the time.
