RF attacked Kherson region: 79-year-old woman killed, five people injured

On August 7, in Kherson region, Russian troops shelled a residential building in Mykilske and attacked a medical facility in Kherson with a drone. As a result of the strikes, a 79-year-old woman was killed, and five other people were injured.

This is reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation has been launched into war crimes under Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, on August 7 at around 11:20 a.m., Russian troops carried out an artillery strike on the village of Mykilske in Kherson district.

As a result of a hit on a residential building, a 79-year-old woman was killed.

The same day at around 7:00 p.m., Russian occupiers attacked the territory of a medical facility in Kherson with a drone.

As a result of the strike, four medical workers and a police officer sustained injuries of varying severity. The victims received necessary medical assistance.

Prosecutors, together with investigators, continue to document the consequences of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

Over the past day, dozens of settlements in Kherson region and the city of Kherson were under enemy air, drone terror, and artillery shelling. Russian troops struck critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential areas. As a result of the attacks, 7 apartment buildings and 11 private houses were damaged.

Russian shelling also damaged a church, a store, a hair salon, a gas station, an outbuilding, school buses, agricultural machinery, and private vehicles.

The strikes hit, in particular, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Zymivnyk, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Sofiivka, Shyroka Balka, Darivka, Vitrovo, Zarichne, Ivanivka, Inhulets, Mykilske, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Urozhaine, Vysokopillia, Davydiv Brid, Novovorontsovka, Mykhailivka, Lvove, Odradokamianka, and other settlements.

Due to Russian aggression, two people were killed and another 24 were injured. Among the victims is one child.

In addition, over the past day, 18 people were evacuated from the liberated communities of Kherson region.
