Zelenskyy announced new contacts with intermediaries and negotiations regarding air defence packages

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that next week Ukraine will hold new contacts with mediators in the peace process and will also work on obtaining additional air defense packages.

This was stated in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s address.

“This week there will be new contacts with mediators, specifically on the steps and proposals that are needed. Ukraine is always active in diplomacy. There will be new contacts to secure air defense packages – to protect our state and our people,” Zelenskyy said.

The President also reported that on Sunday he heard reports from Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi and held a conversation with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi. They discussed the protection of Ukrainian cities and further responses to Russia.

“There are entirely justified responses; for every Russian strike there will be our reaction. The Russian war will become increasingly tangible for them at home, in Russia,” Zelenskyy said.

He also thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine for the operation against Russian oil refining, strikes on Russian air defense systems and radar stations, as well as attacks on Russian infrastructure in the Azov and Black Sea regions.

“The only reason this is still ongoing is Russia’s unwillingness to end this war,” the President emphasized.
