Elite real estate and cars on relatives: how the head of the Kyiv Commercial Court Vadym Bosyi hides his assets

Head of the Kyiv Economic Court Vadym Bosyi lives in a private house in Lisnyky registered to his daughter and drives a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado premium trim registered to his retired mother. These assets are missing from the judge’s declarations.

Vadym Bosyi has headed the Kyiv Economic Court since 2023; before that he served as deputy head for several years and earlier as a judge. He became known to the public thanks to the so-called “Vovk tapes,” on which the latter says that “Bosyi Vadik” came for instructions on the Kolomoisky case — after which Judge Bosyi indeed granted the oligarch’s lawsuit against the NBU to avoid personal collection of UAH 9 billion in bank guarantees.

Journalists found that Bosyi lives in a private house in the village of Lisnyky near Kyiv. At current prices its value may reach USD 350,000 without renovation. The property is registered to Bosyi’s daughter Iryna. Officially, in 2024 she purchased the land plot and in 2026 registered the house on it — although, according to satellite images, the house was already standing on the date the land was bought. While the plot’s value could still be “stretched” to match the daughter’s official income, the market value of the house could not. Nor did the judge’s and his wife’s savings cover it.

In addition to the house, a flat of over 100 square metres on Pechersk is also registered to the judge’s daughter. It was gifted by the grandmother — the mother of Judge Bosyi — whose official income journalists found was not commensurate with the value.

Another flat on Pechersk, in the premium-class JackHouse residential complex, is registered to Bosyi’s wife. She invested in the complex at the construction stage in 2017, having no official income to match. At that time the woman was divorced from the judge, so he did not list her in his declaration. She received the flat from the developer in 2018 but registered it in her name only in 2019. Notably, it was in 2018 that Vadym Bosyi underwent evaluation by the HQCJ. Only after the judge received a positive decision from the Commission did the woman register the flat and the parking spaces previously bought in her mother’s name in her own name. After that Bosyi again listed her in his declaration as his wife. 

Judge Bosyi, according to journalists’ observations, drives a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado premium trim of 2025, purchased last year and registered to his mother. The car’s showroom value can reach USD 70,000. Over the past ten years Bosyi has consistently used vehicles registered to his parents.

Judge Bosyi declined to comment on questions regarding his family’s assets and ignored the official request.
