Drone manufacturer Vampire company «Strym Techno» signed a contract with a figure in the international scandal over the supply of fake «Ozempic» to the USA.

Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer SkyFall signed a $5 million contract with a figure in the international scandal over the supply of counterfeit weight-loss drug «Ozempic» to the United States of America. The drone procurement agreement was signed back in the fall of 2022, and in 2025, when the scam company still failed to deliver the goods to Ukraine, the Ukrainian manufacturer began litigation to recover the funds. This story closely resembles a large-scale money-laundering scheme. Such an assumption arises due to the large number of coincidences.

SkyFall is legally registered as LLC «Strym Techno». The company was founded in 2020 and is now known for producing UAVs such as Vampire, Shrike, and P1-SUN. The company actively participates in defense exhibitions, and experts often speak highly of the effectiveness of its drones.

Recently, the media reported that in 2025–2026, «Strim Techno» imported goods from approximately 60 non-resident suppliers worth over 43.1 billion hryvnias. Some of the supplies went through the Estonian company DMO COMMERCE OU, which has a charter capital of only 2,500 euros and no staff at all.

The key figure in the Estonian company is Ukrainian Denys Ovsyannikov. The 2025 report confirms that DMO COMMERCE OU had trade relations with Ukraine. Journalists traced that «Strym Techno» used the Estonian firm to pay for contracts for supplies from China.

However, the court registry contains far more interesting information regarding the Ukrainian drone manufacturer’s procurements. In 2022, «Strym Techno» signed a contract with Assure Global LLC (WeShield), registered in the United States of America. The total value of the contracts is impressive — $5 million. Court documents revealed that «Strym Techno» paid these millions but did not receive the goods within the specified deadlines. The Ukrainians therefore went to court demanding the return of $5 million and even won the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. However, the Americans did not give up and filed an appeal, arguing that the ICAC had not considered certain evidence and had not taken force majeure into account.

The court document revealed that the legal relationship between «Strym Techno» and Assure Global LLC is based on an agreement dated November 1, 2022. The subject of the procurement was unmanned aerial vehicles or quadcopters. The total amount the Ukrainians are trying to recover from the Americans is $5,062,914.15. «Including $4,897,473.47 in advance payment and 165,440.68 hryvnias — 3% annual interest for the use of other people’s funds, substantiating the claims by the fact that the defendant did not deliver the goods in full and did not return the advance payment for the undelivered goods,» — the statement of claim by «Strim Techno» reads.

According to registry data, Assure Global LLC, operating under the name WeShield, is registered in New York. Its field of activity is medicine and related goods, which have no connection to technology. In fact, «Strym Techno» attempted to buy drones from sellers of medical drugs and medical equipment. And even paid them $5 million in advance.

Assure Global LLC is a figure in the international scandal over the supply of counterfeit medicines to the USA. In 2024, it became known that Assure Global was one of the distributors that introduced counterfeit «Ozempic» into the supply chain to the USA, importing a batch from China.

A separate court investigation is being conducted by Indian authorities, as the key figures in the scheme are two Indian citizens who, however, hold UAE residency and live in Dubai. Indian law enforcement established that the dealers purchased counterfeit «Ozempic» in China, first delivered it to the Middle East, likely to the UAE, and from there it reached the USA.

International media note that «WeShield (Assure Global LLC) is a mysterious distributor headquartered in New York, whose publicly available websites indicate that they mainly distribute personal protective equipment and COVID tests. However, there are signs that the main suspect and WeShield closely collaborated».

The main figure in the case of counterfeit «Ozempic» supplies to the USA is Indian Vicky Ramancha. He is credited with collaborating with Assure Global LLC, with which the Ukrainian manufacturer signed drone supply contracts. Another figure in the case is Swapnadip Roy. He is an Indian businessman who heads a distribution company in Dubai.

The key person listed for Assure Global LLC is Roman Vintfeld. In his LinkedIn profile, he confirms that he works at WeShield. Roman’s language of communication is listed as Russian.

In 2024, the well-known publication Vanity Fair published a major article dedicated to the supply of counterfeit «Ozempic» to the USA. In the material, journalists refer to court documents confirming that Vintfeld is a seasoned fraudster. In 2011, the Attorney General of New Jersey accused one of Vintfeld’s companies, Industry Model and Talent Studios LLC, of fraud. The investigation proved that the man posed as a children’s talent scout in shopping malls and amusement parks and charged parents exorbitant fees for photo sessions and marketing campaigns that were supposedly aimed at signing modeling contracts. The fraud led to over 200 complaints. Later, according to state charges, Vintfeld repeated this scheme in Florida.

Assure Global LLC was founded in 2014 and became known for supplying goods during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company had contracts, including with the U.S. Defence Logistics Agency.

Vintfeld’s LinkedIn page states that he has been actively involved in helping Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Through the «Ukraine Friends» program, he allegedly provides humanitarian aid, medicines, housing, and assistance with evacuation, among other things.

Moreover, the author of his biography on LinkedIn writes that Vintfeld was «an extremely sought-after delegate at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2022, held in Lugano, Switzerland». And he even held meetings with world leaders.

This is the same conference at which the 10-year Ukraine reconstruction plan was first presented. The event was attended by heads of state, ministers, and representatives of international missions and organizations. However, Google contains no mention of such a Roman Vintfeld participating in it, who, according to his own version, held meetings with world leaders there.

It seems the fraudulent past, when Vintfeld posed as a children’s talent scout and swindled American families out of money, has not left him even now. Because now he poses as a respectable international expert.

More to come. Vintfeld’s LinkedIn page states that he also participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2023.

Only one material confirming his participation can be found online. However, it resembles a paid promotional article on a dubious website. Still, it contains interesting information about other participants who took part in the discussion with Roman Vintfeld in Davos. Among them is Andriy Kolodyuk from the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.

Kolodyuk is a frequent participant in various defense exhibitions. His Facebook page contains numerous selfies against the backdrop of Flamingo missiles, Ukrainian stands, drones, and participation in an endless number of conferences, among other things.

In 2023, Kolodyuk did indeed participate in certain events at the World Economic Forum in Davos. In two of his photos posted on Facebook in January 2023, a man very similar to Roman Vintfeld can be seen — at least when compared to the photos on his LinkedIn page.

«Strim Techno» signed contracts with Vintfeld’s Assure Global in November 2022, while the Davos forum took place in January 2023. But Roman Vintfeld’s legal problems date back to the early 2010s, and even then U.S. justice proved that he swindled trusting Americans through fraud. Moreover, Assure Global’s official field of activity is medical goods. Why «Strym Techno» decided that Vintfeld could supply them with drones worth $5 million remains a mystery. Unless it was a scheme to transfer money from company to company for the purpose of laundering or legalizing it according to a pre-planned scheme.

The beneficiary of «Strym Techno» is well-known businessman Oleksandr Konotopskyi. First and foremost, he is known for producing Ajax security systems. In recent years, the businessman has begun moving the company to Cyprus and the UAE. According to the Dubai Ajax website, the office is registered in the free economic zone in the port of Dubai. That is, the company is exempt from taxes.

Konotopskyi himself has also moved to Dubai. At least since 2025, Ukrainian registries list his Dubai registration. The businessman is registered in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers business district. This is a fairly popular area near the sea with picturesque artificial lakes, a huge number of restaurants, and offices of large companies.

Telegram channels wrote that Konotopskyi allegedly became the owner of four villas on Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai and more than 10 apartments under construction in the residential area of Jumeirah Village Circle. Although the informants refer to certain extracts from Dubai registries, no documents confirming this information were provided.

The Indian schemers involved in the sale of «Ozempic», friends of Assure Global head Roman Vintfeld, who signed a drone supply contract with «Strym Techno», are also Dubai residents, like Konotopskyi.

Thus, in summary, we have the following: a large Ukrainian company «Strym Techno», linked to businessman Oleksandr Konotopskyi, in 2022 signed a $5 million contract for the supply of drones with the American company Assure Global, which specializes in medical drugs. This American company is headed by a fraudster who posed as a talent scout in U.S. supermarkets and swindled Americans out of money. This same U.S. company is a figure in a large-scale international scandal involving the supply of counterfeit «Ozempic» from China through Indian intermediaries from Dubai, where Oleksandr Konotopskyi now resides. How did it happen that a Ukrainian company transferred $5 million in advance to a Russian-speaking trader of fake medicines with a dubious background? And why is this person participating in discussions about Ukraine’s future on international platforms?
