The State Bureau of Investigations denies the information spread on social networks and certain Telegram channels regarding the alleged transfer of personal data of Security Service of Ukraine employees to the Russian side.

We state: The State Bureau of Investigations has not transferred any data of Ukrainian special services employees to representatives of the Russian side. The claim that SBI Director Oleksiy Sukhachov allegedly instructed Bureau employees to transfer such data to the Russian side is also false.

The dissemination of unsubstantiated and false accusations is a deliberate attempt to discredit the State Bureau of Investigations and its leadership.

The SBI emphasizes that any information made available to Bureau employees in the course of their official duties is used exclusively in accordance with the law and within the framework of specific criminal proceedings.

At the same time, information regarding the dissemination of personal data of law enforcement officers has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, and a pre-trial investigation has been initiated. Law enforcement officers are identifying the source of the information and its dissemination, as well as all circumstances of its publication.

The SBI stresses that any attempts to use the personal data of Ukrainian law enforcement officers to discredit them, create threats to their security, or transfer information to third parties will receive an appropriate legal assessment.
