Drapatyi canceled over 30 outdated General Staff documents that created a bureaucratic burden
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi has terminated more than three dozen outdated orders of the General Staff. This concerns, in particular, documents that regulated the training of military personnel and provided for a significant amount of formal reporting
This was reported by the head of the communications department of the 14th Army Corps of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vitaliy Sarantsev.
By his decision, Mykhailo Drapatyi canceled more than 30 documents that regulated various aspects of the AFU’s activities. Among them are old training programs, shooting courses, physical training concepts, as well as documents on amendments to previous orders.
A number of interim documents on amendments, which complicated the regulatory framework and had effectively lost practical significance, were also canceled.
Separately, some legal conflicts were removed between modern approaches to military training, shaped by the experience of the full-scale war, and the requirements from the ATO/JFO period of 2016–2020.
"Long-outdated instructions that for years existed only on paper, requiring formal reports, ’checkmarks’ and ’tables,’ have been scrapped," Sarantsev emphasized.
As a result, commanders in the field will no longer have to spend time on formal procedures and preparing reports according to standards that no longer correspond to the conditions of modern combat.
It is expected that this will allow the military command to focus on practical work, training personnel, and fulfilling combat missions, rather than complying with outdated bureaucratic procedures.
Thus, the AFU are effectively carrying out a large-scale update of the regulatory framework by removing documents that have become unnecessary bureaucratic ballast.
