"Prepare for the worst": Koretskyi stated the need to plan Ukraine’s development for years of war

Ukraine must be prepared for a prolonged war with Russia and plan the development of the state based on the most critical scenario.

This was stated by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.

The Prime Minister emphasized that even in the event of a ceasefire, Ukraine cannot rule out new aggression, as the Russian threat does not disappear.

«The state and business need to lay the foundation for long-term resilience now», he said.

In particular, this includes the development of underground infrastructure for logistics, energy, and other sectors. According to Koretskyi, such projects may take years, but they cannot be postponed.

«If we don’t start today, in two years there will still be nothing», he added.

He stressed that a number of important conclusions had been drawn after last winter. In particular, decentralized systems for ensuring the vital activities of regions, cities, and oblasts are being actively prepared — this has been identified as a key priority.
