Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of a new head of the Ternopil RMA

"At its meeting on August 16, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the decree of the President of Ukraine on the appointment of Vyacheslav Nehoda as head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration," the statement said.

Negoda Vyacheslav, born May 25, 1957 in the village of Borshchivka, Ternopil region, received education at the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute, Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko and the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.

He began his career in 1980 as an architect in the engineering and construction department of the All-Union Design Institute. In 1983, he became the head of the design bureau of the Vatra Production Association.

From 1990 to 1998, he held the positions of Ternopil Mayor and Regional Council Deputy. In 1998, he became First Deputy Executive Director of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, and from 2000 to 2002, he headed the Secretariat of the Union of Leaders of Local and Regional Authorities of Ukraine. In 2002, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada, but was not elected.

In 2006, he headed the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government. From 2008 to 2010, he was the Director of the Department of Regional Policy and Local Self-Government of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Since 2008, he held the post of Deputy Minister of Regional Development, and since 2014, he was the First Deputy and Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine. In 2023, he was dismissed from his post due to a scandal with the First Deputy Minister Vasyl Lozynskyi.
