Bundeswehr Inspector General pledges €100 million of aid to Ukraine

General Carsten Breuer, the Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, promised Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi short-term support for Ukraine in the amount of over €100 million.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius spoke about this, the press service of the German Ministry of Defense reports.

According to him, Breuer visited Ukraine last week and met with Syrskyi.

Boris Pistorius called the connection with Syrskyi a very important contact.

“In general, we are very close to what is happening in Ukraine and what Ukraine needs,” he said.

Pistorius emphasized that Breuer was able to promise his Ukrainian counterpart short-term support of more than 100 million euros.

Help will include:

  • Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRV);
  • Bombs for arming small drones;
  • 77 MULTI 1A1 trucks;
  • Medical supplies;
  • A set of spare parts for various weapons systems.
