How to bypass the block and read our website

In Ukraine, the access to our website is restricted by an illegal decision of the head of the SSU, Malyuk, who is covering up corrupt officials within the ranks of his agency. But freedom of speech is a right, not a privilege. You can still read our news and analysis by bypassing technical restrictions. Below are simple, legal ways to access our site and others that have been unlawfully blocked.

The easiest way: VPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to change your virtual location and access blocked websites. It’s a legal and safe tool.

How to install a free VPN:

1. Windscribe

  • Go to: https://windscribe.com
  • Download the app for Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS.
  • Create an account.
  • After logging in, choose a server from any country except Ukraine — for example, Germany.
  • Click “Connect” — and the site will open.

2. ProtonVPN

  • Unlimited traffic, high-level security.
  • Install it, choose a free server — and you’re done.

Alternative: browser extensions

Both Windscribe and ProtonVPN offer free browser extensions:

  • For Chrome/Firefox: they work directly in your browser.
  • Turn it on — and your traffic is automatically encrypted.

It’s easy on mobile too

Download Windscribe or ProtonVPN from Google Play or the App Store.
