Belgium will continue to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine, but will not send its troops to the front.

This was stated by Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder, The Brussels Times reports.

According to the publication, the Belgian Defense Minister noted the continuation of aid supplies to Ukraine and stated that “providing all necessary material assistance remains a priority.”

According to her, “Belgium prefers to provide material assistance to Ukraine rather than sending troops.”

Thus, in 2024, Belgium intends to provide military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 611 million euros, and will also participate in six coalitions to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and train the Ukrainian military.
