According to a source in the presidential faction in the Rada, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy may merge with the Ministry of Economy, while the absence of the heads of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Youth and Sports suggests that these departments may be cut.
The Ukrainian government is considering the possibility of reducing the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Hromadske reported this on Monday, March 4, citing an unnamed source in the Servant of the People parliamentary faction.
“About the likely reduction of these two departments, our interlocutor points out that it is “not surprising” that the ministry has no leaders. The source also added that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy may be merged from the Ministry of Economy,” the journalists note.
At the same time, as the media notes, a representative of Golos claims that there will be no reductions, and a source from European Solidarity reports that discussion of this issue among deputies has not yet begun.
