Britain will provide Ukraine with more than 10,000 drones - Sky News

The UK will provide Ukraine with an assistance package worth 325 million pounds (more than 15.7 billion hryvnia) for the purchase of drones.

This was stated by the country’s Minister of Defence Grant Shapps during a visit to Ukraine on March 7, the British government reports.

"The investment, which will provide more than 10,000 drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, will leverage the UK’s world-leading defense industry to provide Ukraine with advanced new drone capabilities throughout 2024," it said.

The government press service notes that this decision increases the package provided in January in the amount of 200 million. Most of the 10 thousand drones are FPV drones.

According to Shapps’s own comments, Britain is increasing its commitment to arming Ukraine with drones and is calling on partners to join this initiative.
