The attack on Ukraine’s energy sector is the largest in the entire war, - Ukrenergo

“This was probably the biggest attack of all time on the energy system of Ukraine. It is characterized by the fact that combined weapons were used, that is, not only cruise missiles, but also Shaheds and ballistic missiles,” Kudrytskyi said.

According to him, thermal and hydroelectric power plants, as well as main substations, were hit. The enemy targeted various objects of the energy system - generation, high-voltage substations, substations of distribution operators.

As a result of a large-scale attack, energy facilities in different regions of Ukraine were damaged. Kudrytskyi emphasized that Kharkov suffered the most, the scale of damage there is the greatest.

“Unfortunately, there are restrictions on energy supply in different regions of Ukraine, mainly on the left bank of the Dnipro. I emphasize that these are controlled restrictions so that the system works holistically. Most of the questions are about the status of damage to the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Station. Now there is no risk of a dam breaking, the status of damage is being clarified and will be final clear in a few hours,” Kudrytskyi said.
