On the afternoon of March 26, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv. The occupiers hit the civilian housing infrastructure of Kharkiv: a hit was recorded in the Shevchenko district.
This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleh Syniehubov. There were no casualties or injuries.
“The occupiers hit the civilian housing infrastructure of Kharkiv. A hit was recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Information about casualties has not been received at this moment. Inspection of the site by specialized services continues,” the official said.
Meanwhile, a photo of smoke rising into the sky after the explosion appeared in local public pages.
The first to announce the arrival in Kharkov was Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov.
“Preliminary arrival in the Shevchenko district of the city. We are finding out the details,” he wrote at 11:41.
“Suspilne Kharkiv” noted at 11:39 that an explosion in the northern part of the city occurred a minute before the air raid warning was announced.
Then Terekhov also released information that the enemy strike fell on a residential area.
“A non-residential building was damaged, glass flew out in a nearby high-rise building. Fortunately, there were no wounded or dead,” added the mayor of Kharkiv.
