In the Odesa region, fragments of a shahed fell on an energy facility: a fire broke out
During a massive Russian air attack on the night of March 31, the southern defense forces destroyed eight Shahed-type kamikaze drones. In the Odesa region, debris from an enemy target fell on an energy facility, causing a fire.
Several settlements were left without electricity. This was reported in the official Telegram channel of the defenders of the southern regions of Ukraine.
They noted that the terrorist forces of the Russian Federation sent several shock waves of UAVs to their area of responsibility. The energy infrastructure of the Odesa region and the agro-industrial capacities of the Kherson region were again in the enemy’s sights.
The intense combat work of the Air Defence Forces lasted about two hours. It is noted that the enemy attacked the Odesa region most of all. The sky defenders managed to shoot down all eight drones.
At the same time, the fall of debris from the destroyed bomb caused a fire at one of the region’s power facilities, resulting in a blackout in several populated areas.
“The fire has been extinguished. No people were injured. Restoration work is underway,” the message says.
The military also added that in the Kherson region, in parallel with the drone attack, the Russians used ballistics and a guided aircraft missile. There, a mothballed agricultural enterprise was hit, but there were no casualties.
