Ukrainians consider corruption a greater threat than Russian aggression - survey

Ukrainians consider corruption a greater threat to the development of the state than Russian aggression. In particular, 51% of Ukrainians see a threat from corruption in government bodies, while 46% see a threat from Russian military aggression.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the sociological group "Rating" on behalf of the Center for Analysis and Sociological Research of the International Republican Institute (IRI) in February 2024. 11% of respondents believe that the economic crisis and its consequences, such as inflation, rising prices and deteriorating living standards, pose a threat to the development of the state.

In fourth position in the list of threats to the country’s development, Ukrainians see a lack of qualified managers in the government and state institutions (10%), and in fifth place is the irresponsibility of the authorities (4%).

Also, according to the survey, the activities of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are supported by 63% of citizens - 22% fully, 41% partially. While in September 2023 there were 82% of them – 42% completely, 40% partially.
