Pavlyuk called on Ukrainians to find the courage to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: “You won’t be able to sit out”
The Ground Forces called on those liable for military service to find the courage to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After all, no matter how much weapons the allies give us, the army does not have enough people.
This became known from a statement by the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, published on his Facebook page.
“Today the same people say that our army is the strongest and most professional in Europe and the world. We have Western weapons at our disposal. We know and understand the enemy’s plans. There are talented and experienced commanders. Two years ago we defended Kyiv, and now we are hitting military targets "A thousand kilometers from the contact line with our own military technologies. But no matter how much help we receive, no matter how many weapons we have, we do not have enough people!" - said Pavlyuk.
The general noted that “the equipment does not move on its own, the weapon does not fire on its own, the drone does not fly away on its own,” so the units must be updated.
“Russian propagandists have made many believe that mobilization is not about protecting one’s state from an aggressor, but about injustice and violation of rights. I understand the desire of people to live a peaceful life, travel, build a career. But there is an objective reality: Russia denies us right to exist. The enemy understands only the language of force,” Pavlyuk emphasized.
He emphasized that the occupiers must be forced to get away from our land, and if we do not do this, “there will be no peaceful life, no rights and freedoms at all.” This is evidenced by Russia itself and what it is doing in the territories temporarily occupied by it.
“The more Ukrainians find the courage to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the less chance Russia will have to realize its bloodthirsty plans. And the sooner Ukrainian cities will return to normal, safe life. Therefore, I urge Ukrainians to put aside their emotions and not succumb to provocations. We must realize that "No one will be able to sit out. After all, the fate of the country, the fate of our nation is at stake. Russia will not leave anyone alone: neither those who hid, nor those who betrayed Ukraine," Pavlyuk added.
The general recalled that after completing basic combined arms training, soldiers are assigned to military units. And not necessarily specifically for combat positions.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine need different specialists: drivers, clerks, cooks, builders, IT workers, accountants, doctors, engineers. You can check my words by opening job search sites - all these vacancies are there,” Pavlyuk concluded.
