According to the NGU, the incident occurred in the area of the village of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. The Russian was hiding in a hole, but the defenders discovered him and offered him to surrender in order to save his life.

Russian occupiers regularly fall into Ukrainian captivity under various circumstances, but this time the defenders were able to lure out an enemy soldier using a drone. This is stated on the page of the Eastern Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine on the social network Facebook .

We are talking about military personnel of the assault detachment of the 5th Slobozhansk brigade of the NGU and the 80th separate air assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They captured a soldier of the Russian Armed Forces near the village of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

Guardsman "Brutal" and paratrooper "Green" closely monitored enemy actions beyond the line of contact. Towards evening, one of the Russian servicemen was hiding in a shelter, but after the ammunition was dropped, he decided to raise a white flag.

“We flew out according to the coordinates, noticed a Russian who climbed into a hole and was sitting there. We hit him with a drop. We flew to find out if he was alive there. We saw that he was sitting in front of the hole, with a white flag and waving so that we wouldn’t kill him "We returned, took a bottle of water, and wrote on it that he should give up if he wants to live. He chose life and gave up. We took him to our positions with a drone and handed him over, so to speak, “where he needs to be,” shares the fighter with the call sign "Brutal."

After evacuation to a safe zone, the detainee was interrogated. It turned out that he is a serviceman of military unit 95383 of the Russian Armed Forces and has the call sign “Staryi”. Among the occupier’s tasks is monitoring the operation of Ukrainian UAVs and FPV drones.

The National Guard recalled that the Ukrainian side adheres to the rules of war and guarantees the lives of those enemy fighters who voluntarily surrender.
