Zelenskyy and the Norwegian Foreign Minister held a meeting
On Monday, April 15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Espen Barth Eid. He is on a visit to our state.
The Office of the President reports this. At the meeting, politicians discussed the situation in the field of air and missile defense in Ukraine. They also exchanged views on possible areas for expanding assistance from Norway in this matter.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed the head of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry about the current security situation in the country, in particular about the intensification of massive rocket attacks on critical infrastructure by the aggressor country. The President thanked Norway for its significant contribution to strengthening the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
The interlocutors noted the successful completion of bilateral negotiations on concluding an agreement on security guarantees. We agreed that the leaders of the two states would sign this strategic document at the earliest opportunity.

Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Norwegian side for significant military and humanitarian assistance. Currently it is about 7.1 billion dollars. USA. Ukraine receives this assistance as part of a multi-year program named after. F. Nansen for 2023–2027.
“We count on the support of the Norwegian government and the Storting in making a decision on a significant expansion of assistance to Ukraine within the framework of this program,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy summed up the meeting.
