The trial of suspects in the murder of a policeman began in Vinnytsia

The suspect in the murder of the policeman, Valeriy Vasilake, spoke during the court hearing.

He stated that he very much regrets what he did and is not against choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention.

“I don’t understand how this happened. If it were possible to return everything, I would exchange my life for the life of a policeman, as long as I have left here,” Vasilake said.

The prosecution requests that Valeriu Vasilache, the suspect in the shooting of a policeman, be detained without the possibility of bail.

During his speech, the prosecutor stated that Vitaly and Valery Vasilache wanted to leave the territory of Ukraine.

“After committing the crime, the suspects went to their home, where they took foreign passports. After that, they hid in a forest near their place of residence. During the arrest, the suspects’ international passports were confiscated,” the prosecutor said.

He also added that the pistol with which the suspect killed the policeman was buried in the forest, and the ammunition they were transporting was thrown into a pond.

The judge went into the deliberation room.
