The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published clarifications on restrictions on consular services for men

Most consular services abroad for men aged 18 to 60 were suspended as of April 23. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained the reasons for the ban and which services will continue to operate.

Main:

▪ the provision of such services will cease until the information and communication systems of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are changed in accordance with the law on mobilization;

▪️ upon the entry into force of the law on mobilization on May 18, 2024, consular services will be provided in accordance with the requirements of the law;

▪️ although the law has not yet entered into force, the provision of services is stopped, since the period for consideration of applications may exceed the time remaining before the law enters into force;

▪️if a person of conscription age updates his data in the TRC, he will gain access to the provision of consular services after they are restored. How exactly the data can be updated is being decided;

▪️temporary restrictions do not apply in any way to the provision of consular assistance in case of emergencies with Ukrainian citizens abroad.
