The Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced in Krynky, Kherson region: ISW battle maps

Russian troops are trying to achieve tactically significant successes in the Avdiivka direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced into Krynky, Kherson region and maintain positions in the village.

Operation No. 1 – Luhansk region

Positional fighting continued near Svatove and Kreminna on 24 April, but there were no confirmed changes on the frontline in the area.

Positional fighting continued:

• north-west of Svatove near Berestove;
• southwest of Svatove near Hrekivka and Novovodyane;
• north-west of Kreminna near Nevske;
• west of Kreminna near Terny, Torske and Yampolivka;
• south-west of Kreminna near Serebryanske forestry.

Operation No. 2 – Donetsk region

On 24 April, Russian troops continued ground attacks in the Siverskyi sector (northwest of Bakhmut), but there were no changes on the front line.

Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks:

• east of Siversk in the area of Verkhnekamianske;
• south-east of Siversk in the area of Spirne and Vyimky.

Russian troops continued their offensive towards Chasiv Yar (east of Bakhmut) on 24 April, but there were no confirmed changes to the front line.

• in the area of the Novyi neighbourhood in the southeast of Chasiv Yar;
• north-east of Chasiv Yar near Bohdanivka;
• east of Chasiv Yar near Ivanivske;
• and south-east of Chasovyi Yar near Klishchiyivka and Pivdenne.

On 24 April, the commander of a Ukrainian battalion operating near Chasiv Yar reported that Russian attacks on Ivanivske last week had been unsuccessful and that Russian forces were amassing near Bakhmut to replenish losses and form new assault groups.

Russian troops recently confirmed advances west of Avdiivka amid ongoing Russian offensives in the area on 24 April.

Geo-located video footage released on 24 April shows that Russian forces have recently advanced in the central and northern parts of Semenivka.

Russian forces continued to attack:

• North-west of Avdiivka in the area of Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Solomianske, Novobakhmutivka and Berdychi;
• west of Avdiivka in the area of Yasnobrodivka;
• south-west of Avdiivka in the area of Netaylove, Pervomayske and Nevelske.

Russian forces reportedly continue to take risks to achieve tactically significant gains northwest of Avdiivka.

Russian troops recently confirmed advances southwest of Donetsk as Russian offensive operations continued in the area on 24 April.

Geo-located video footage released on 24 April shows that Russian forces have recently advanced in the western part of Novomykhailivka (southwest of Donetsk).

Russian troops continued to advance:

• west of Donetsk in the area of Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka;
• south-west of Donetsk in the area of Novomykhailivka and Vodiane.

Fighting also continued south of Velyka Novosilka, near Staromayorske and Urozhayne.

"Southern Axis"

Russian troops recently made minor advances in Robotyne amid ongoing positional fighting on 24 April in the western part of Zaporizhzhya region.

Geo-located video footage released on 22 April shows that Russian forces have made some progress in the central part of Robotyno.

• north-west of Verbove (east of Robotyne).

A Russian military blogger said that the number of ground attacks in the area had dropped significantly over the past few days, but that the Orikhivske direction remained active

Ukrainian troops recently made minor advances in Krynky, Kherson region, on the left bank of the Dnipro River, amid positional fighting in the area on 24 April.

A geolocation video posted on 24 April shows Ukrainian forces making minor advances in the northern part of Krynky, confirming that Ukrainian forces are still holding positions in the town.
