The President of Ukraine introduced bills to the Verkhovna Rada on the extension of martial law and mobilization

The draft laws “On the extension of martial law in Ukraine” and “On the extension of the period of general mobilization” have been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.

The initiator of the bills on extending martial law and mobilization is the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The explanatory note to the bill "On extending the period of general mobilization" states that the draft law provides for "approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On extending the period of general mobilization", which extends the period of general mobilization from May 14, 2024 by 90 days."

The President also proposes to extend the martial law by 90 days from May 14, 2024.
