The battle for Vovchansk continues, the enemy has tactical success, - General Staff

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the Kharkiv direction the operational situation remains complex and is changing dynamically, however, in the battles for Vovchansk the invaders have seen tactical success.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

"Fighting is taking place in the areas of Pylyna - Lukyantsi, Pylyna - Hlyboke, Pylyna - Oliynykove, Murom - Buhruvatka.

In addition, the enemy is conducting assault operations in the areas of Strilecha - Hlyboke, Oliynykove - Hlyboke, Oliynykove - Lukyantsi, Murom - Starytsya, Pletenivka - Tykhyne."

During the day, the enemy carried out 22 assault operations in these areas, 14 of which are still ongoing.

The report notes that the border town of Vovchansk is being fought over.

“The enemy deployed significant forces to conduct an attack on the city, consisting of up to 5 battalions, and does not take into account its own losses. The Russian invaders lost more than 100 occupiers in one day alone in those killed in this direction.

The enemy is currently experiencing tactical success.

Measures have been planned to destroy the enemy who has penetrated our defences."

The General Staff adds that the defenders are conducting defensive actions, inflicting fire on the enemy, and widely using unmanned systems to conduct reconnaissance and carry out targeted strikes to inflict maximum losses.

"The deployment of reserves continues to stabilize the situation. In determining the tasks of the troops, one of the main priorities is preserving the lives of our soldiers."
