Spain will provide Ukraine with a new aid package

The Spanish government has decided to send another package of military assistance to Ukraine. It will include missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as Leopard 2A4 tanks.

The total amount of the military assistance package will be $1 billion 230 million. This was reported by El Pais.

It is expected that new obligations to supply weapons to the Ukrainian army will be announced during the official visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Madrid.

The Spanish government announced its intention to provide Ukraine with a new package of military aid last month. However, then Spanish officials did not specify what kind of weapons would be transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the same time, Spanish media claim that the new military aid package will include dozens of missiles for the Patriot air defense system and 19 German-made Leopard 2A4 tanks. In addition, Ukraine will receive other Spanish-made weapons, including, in particular, anti-drone weapons and ammunition.
