The wave of investigations into the property acquired during the war by Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytskyi continues.

Three weeks ago, Radio Liberty journalists told an interesting story about Verbytskyi renting a house near Kyiv from a businessman he knows.

But the trick is that the house was bought for this businessman in October 2023 by Dmytro Verbytskyi’s nephew Yevhen, and the Deputy Prosecutor General personally went to the purchase.

So, most likely, the house is his, but you can’t prove it.

And today, another investigation has been released about Dmytro Verbytskyi’s office centre in Odesa, which grew out of the ground.

It turned out that on the eve of the Radio Liberty investigation, Verbytskyi began to mention the real estate he had acquired during the war and to make changes to his declaration. Well, to avoid liability for failure to declare.

And it so happened that a month after his "nephew" bought a house near Kyiv, in November 2023, Verbytskyi became the co-owner of another "house" in Odesa, which turned out to be a small office centre.

And, judging by the investigation, Verbytskyi may be its only real owner, but, as in the case of the house near Kyiv, you can’t prove anything.

The only thing that doesn’t need to be proved is that Verbytskyi is in charge of the economic bloc in the Prosecutor General’s Office. So, most likely, these two lines - the PGO’s oversight of the economic bloc and the appearance of strange property during the war - intersect somewhere.

And it is probably not for nothing that Verbytskyi is called the OGP’s supervisor of both the gambling and tobacco businesses. But you can’t prove this either.
