Kuleba explained how the Russian Federation is obstructing the holding of the peace summit
The Russian Federation has resorted to widespread opposition to the holding of the peace summit: from discrediting the meeting to attempts to persuade other countries not to participate in the meeting.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba during a press conference with his Estonian colleague Margus Tsahkna.
“The stronger the opposition, the more weighty the initiative. If the peace summit was a passing event, we would not have seen such opposition,” Kuleba said.
The minister noted that Russia resorts to three types of opposition to the meeting:
- discrediting the peace summit Moscow sends out letters and also makes statements that the meeting allegedly has no value;
 - attempts to persuade countries not to participate in the summit;
 - attempts to persuade countries that have already agreed to attend the meeting to attend the summit at the lowest level.

“The opposition is large-scale. But my partners and I will create a precedent when a peace summit will be convened not on the terms of an aggressor or a mediator, but on the terms of the United Nations (UN) Charter,” Kuleba added.
According to the minister, subversive work is primarily being carried out in Asia, Africa and South America.
Let us remind you that the meeting will take place from July 15 to 16 in Switzerland. During the summit, the issue of the Ukrainian peace formula, which is aimed at bringing the end of a full-scale war in Ukraine on fair terms, will be raised. Now Kyiv has confirmation from 106 countries of the world about participation in the meeting.
