The German Chancellor softened his position on the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is no longer so categorical on the issue of providing Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles.

Scholz reports this, as quoted by the Voice of America .

During his speech to the German government, Scholz commented on the possibility of transferring the Taurus to Ukraine.

The German chancellor stressed that he has a responsibility to ensure that “every child born in Germany today does not experience war in his country.”

He added that Germany should consult with its allies before making any decisions on the Taurus.

"We will act carefully. We carefully weigh all the risks. I support this as Chancellor, committed to the peace and security of Germany," Scholz said.
