Ukrainian Armed Forces hit Russian anti-aircraft missile systems in Crimea at night - General Staff

On June 10, the Ukrainian military launched a series of successful strikes against Russian divisions of S-400 and S-300 anti-aircraft systems in occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

“Tonight, the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out successful strikes on one S-400 anti-aircraft missile division of the occupiers near Dzhankoy, as well as two enemy S-300 anti-aircraft missile divisions near Chornomorske and Yevpatoriya,” the department said.

The General Staff noted that not a single one of the missiles fired was intercepted by enemy air defences. In the indicated areas, after the strikes, an immediate cessation of operation of the radars of the S-300/S-400 complexes was recorded, which may indicate their defeat.

Also, according to the military, detonation of ammunition was noted in all three areas of the launch positions of anti-aircraft missile battalions.

This information is confirmed by the Russian publication Astra, which, citing its own sources, reported damage to two Russian S-300 systems and four radars as a result of a night missile attack on Crimea.

According to their information, the Ukrainian Defence Forces launched at least 10 ATACMS missiles to carry out the strikes. None of them were shot down.

Four missiles hit the location of the 31st air defense division of the Russian Ministry of Defence in the Dzhankoy region, where two radar stations were damaged and one serviceman was wounded.

Four more missiles hit the location of this division in the Saky region. Military equipment there was damaged, its quantity and extent of damage is being determined, and another serviceman was wounded.

Two more missiles hit the location of the 31st air defense division of the Russian Ministry of Defence in the Black Sea region, a few kilometers from the village of Hromove. Two more radars and two S-300 systems were damaged there, one serviceman was killed and four were wounded, ASTRA sources said.

The villages of Hromove, mentioned by the sources, and Chornomorske, mentioned by the General Staff, are located on Cape Tarkhankut, but the distance between them is about 18 kilometers. Accordingly, we can talk about the defeat of two different divisions.
