Two explosions were heard in Lviv during the day

Manhole covers of Ukrtelecom exploded on Pekarska Street in Lviv. According to eyewitnesses, at least two explosions were heard, after which there was a smell of gunpowder in the street.

According to media reports from the scene, the first explosion on the street. Pekarska, 15-17 sounded at 13:31, the second – 12 minutes later. The explosion damaged two sewer manholes - the lid and paving stones around the manhole were torn off. After the explosions near the hatches, you can smell gas and gunpowder.

The cause of the explosion is not yet known. According to media reports, the cable allegedly exploded. According to the first deputy mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko, the emergency services of Lvivgaz, Lvivvodokanal, Lvivoblenergo, the district administration, and the police are on site.

Later, Andriy Moskalenko clarified that the hatches belong to Ukrtelecom.
