High Anti-Corruption Court lifts seizure of funds of ex-Supreme Court Chief Justice Knyazev

The High Anti-Corruption Court lifted the seizure of some funds of the former head of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev, who was exposed for taking a bribe. We are talking about more than 13 thousand hryvnia that were in Knyazev’s account with his salary as a university teacher.

This was reported by Transparency International . This decision was made by the panel of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice on July 8, satisfying the petition of Knyazev’s lawyers.

This money was in the account with his salary as a teacher at the National University of Shipbuilding. Makarova. Now Knyazev no longer works there - the establishment did not renew his contract while he was in pre-trial detention.

During the meeting, a representative of the executive service presented another petition. We are talking about a seized account containing more than 33 thousand dollars of the former head of the Armed Forces. These funds are necessary for the executive service to implement the decision of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv in the case of confiscation of a gift worth more than 900 thousand hryvnia.
